Formatting Assignments:

-                          All assignments must be MLA formatted. Students will receive instruction and example handout on MLA formatting. If the assignment is not formatted correctly then the assignment will not be accepted for credit.

Make-Up Work Policy

-          Upon return to class after excused absences, a student has one school day for each day missed to make up work/test regardless of the number of days absent. For example, if a student is absent for four days, he/she will have four school days to make up and turn in the work. It is the student¢â¡Ás responsibility to check with teachers immediately upon return for work missed. Teachers may choose to schedule an appointment with the student to formulate a plan for the completion of make-up work.

Late Work

-          In order to successfully contribute to class discussions and activities students will need to have assignments completed before class begins. Assignments are due at the beginning of the hour and will be collected within the first five to ten minutes of class. Assignments handed in at the middle or end of class will be considered late and will not be accepted for credit.

Long Term Project Policy

-          Long term projects are due on the date assigned.  If the student or teacher is absent, the project is still due on the day assigned.  The project can be turned in at the front office.

Classroom Behavior Expectations and Consequences

Students are expected to:

1.       Respect themselves, fellow students, faculty, and the classroom environment.

2.      Follow prescribed procedures outlined in the Students Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.

3.      Take responsibility for their own actions as well as accept consequences, both positive and negative, for those actions.

4.      Promote the essence of the BC Way through character building choices.

* Consequences for not following school policies and procedures will be guided by the Students Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.
